Sandra has been a student of the performing arts ever since her early childhood days which led her to attend the world famous “FAME” school, Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in New York City. She majored in drama and learned the craft from some of the best acting teachers in the field. Throughout her career, Sandra has honed her skills by working as a professional studio vocalist, and performing in musical theatre productions which toured all over the United States. To her credits are some of the following productions:
- “Mama I Want to Sing”, which is the longest running gospel play in history.
- “When a man Cries” by J.D. Lawrence, starring Gospel great Edwin Hawkins, R & B sensation El Debarge, Tony Terry and Robin S.
- “A Christmas Carol” starring Ira David Wood III at the Durham Performing Arts Center and Raleigh Memorial Auditorium in December 2010.

Today, Sandra can be heard on the 3rd Wednesday of every month as a radio personality on Shaw University Radio, WSHA 88.9 FM in Raleigh, North Carolina. Sandra says that being on air is second nature to her. She is surrounded by the two things she loves the most, radio and people. The show is called “Straight No Chaser” and from 8 PM to midnight you will find her playing a mix of the greatest classic and contemporary jazz to the delight of the listeners.
